While we were at Naples National Golf Club for this year’s TV shoot, we had a chance to check out the course and speak with Scott Newhouse, the Director of Golf. Click on the image below to see the interview.

That’s a wrap! Two days, two commercials, six players, a crew of about 50 people, a spectacular golf course, perfect weather and lots of memories. We shot some great stuff this year and we hope you’re pleased with the results when the spots begin airing in January. Until then, we have a lot of fun content from the shoot which we’ll be sharing with you over the next month or so. You’ll hear from the players, see some of the behind-the-scenes action, learn more about Naples National, see some trick shots and more. It’s all coming on the blog, so stay tuned!

After a very busy first day with Vijay and Camilo, we had our work cut out for us on Day 2 with Steve Stricker, Zach Johnson, Ian Poulter and J.B. Holmes. Thanks to Scott Newhouse and his team at Naples National Golf Club.  The course was in phenomenal shape and provided a wonderful backdrop for our 2009 campaign.  Enjoy…

Day one is in the books and it was a spectacular day at Naples National. Thanks to Scott Newhouse, Director of Golf at Naples National, his crew and his membership for extending a warm welcome to the entire FootJoy family this week. This is easily one of the most incredible facilities we’ve seen…from the clubhouse to the course to the food. Everything here is top notch. We filmed Vijay Singh in the morning and Camilo Villegas in the afternoon…the top two finishers in the 2008 FedEx Cup. Both great guys, very professional on and off camera, and both with a very unique personality and sense of humor. Tomorrow we welcome four more players so come back later for additional updates. Cameras were rolling on Tuesday as the 2009 FootJoy TV campaign began to take shape. With just one day to capture everything we needed with the “secret” player on site, we couldn’t really afford many delays…which, of course, are inevitable during a TV shoot.

Sunset at TPI.

FootJoy is on location this week at the Titleist Performance Institute in Oceanside, CA filming its 2009 TV commercials. No matter how many times you’ve passed through the security gates at TPI, it is always exciting and impressive to see this facility. When the southern California sun wraps itself in a blanket of fog and takes a bow behind the lush manicured fairways and perfectly sculpted greens, it just makes the experience even more surreal.

There are multiple spots being filmed and multiple locations this year with a few players you’ve seen in the past and a few who are making their FJ debut. One player you’ll see in the new spots is new to the FJ family and will be unveiled in a few weeks. He is an exciting addition with an impressive list of accomplishments and someone you all know very well. Stay tuned for more on him.

Due to weather delays Sunday, most of the crew arrived today for a pre-production meeting this afternoon. Everything is laid out and ready to roll first thing in the morning. We’ll film all day on various sections of the facility while trying not to interfere with the regular TPI traffic. We’ll update you later this week with news, photos and video updates from TPI and next week from Naples, FL when we film the second phase of our TV spots.
