FootJoy is on location this week at the Titleist Performance Institute in Oceanside, CA filming its 2009 TV commercials. No matter how many times you’ve passed through the security gates at TPI, it is always exciting and impressive to see this facility. When the southern California sun wraps itself in a blanket of fog and takes a bow behind the lush manicured fairways and perfectly sculpted greens, it just makes the experience even more surreal.
There are multiple spots being filmed and multiple locations this year with a few players you’ve seen in the past and a few who are making their FJ debut. One player you’ll see in the new spots is new to the FJ family and will be unveiled in a few weeks. He is an exciting addition with an impressive list of accomplishments and someone you all know very well. Stay tuned for more on him.
Due to weather delays Sunday, most of the crew arrived today for a pre-production meeting this afternoon. Everything is laid out and ready to roll first thing in the morning. We’ll film all day on various sections of the facility while trying not to interfere with the regular TPI traffic. We’ll update you later this week with news, photos and video updates from TPI and next week from Naples, FL when we film the second phase of our TV spots.
